My main outlet for my work is at local Alberta
Farmer's Markets. Since most people come expecting to buy vegetables or baked goods, I take my paints and keep myself busy while I sit there ! Much to my surprise, I am NOT nervous
about painting with people watching me. Many an
interesting conversation has come from painting in public, with people ranging from 5 year olds into the 80's. Some have never tried painting; others "used to" and wish they could again; some are even the local well-known artists. I always en-courage others to try, and find many people will encourage me to continue to work and improve. The best encouragement is when someone buys one !
The miniatures are easiest to work on under frequently cold and windy conditions, and the tiny brushes that I use attract attention, too.

This set of nine that I gathered together reveals the variety of subjects that come to mind. I also branched-out into painting simple jewellery, using 1 inch discs of wood for pendants, and then wood-worker's plugs for matching earrings.

These tiny, framed, paintings are for sale individually, at just $10, each. Everyone can find room for a painting this size ! Some of these have been sold: Folksy the FolkArt Cat, and Tiny Daffodils for example.
