Did You SEE That !

Working from a far finer painting in one of my books produced this very loose and spontaneous fellow.  Just fooling around in class one day (the instructor gets all kinds of privileges, eh ?) brought this funny fellow to life.  There is no fussing about with details here, no attempts to  fix what isn't right, no blending of colours--just a spontaneous painting that has a certain wacky charm.  Maybe I will be able to produce one of these loose paintings once a month, and begin to get the hang of it ?  I keep slipping back into controlled detail for my style, and could really benefit from loosening up.  It woold be nice to be able to choose an approach, and have at least some hope of carrying through with a change !
