Clouds at the Tin Mine

Clouds is a companion to the serenity of the first Cornish Tin Mine painting.  I frequently find myself imagining what it must have been like, going deep down that shaft, then out the tunnel to the working face of the mine.  Knowing that many of those tunnels ran long distances out under the ocean really gives me cold chills, even though I am safe in my own kitchen, thousands of miles away. 

This is my humble tribute to all those who have--and do--work the mines of the world.
