Watercolour ROSE 25FEb2015

This reasonably successful rose arrived just in time to keep me from going totally crazy over my coming role as a watercolour floral painter.  I have had a genuine hang-up about flowers for 60 years, and tend to avoid the subject entirely or despise every attempt I make.  There ARE plenty of deficiencies with this one, too--but at least you can tell that it is supposed to be a rose.  There may be hope for me yet !

Now I want to paint a scrumptiously gaudy goldfish .  Nothing works quite like a change of scenery, right ?
