Watercolour Practise

These two little gems are the result of a practise day with watercolour.  There were to be more little scenes on the right hand side of the paper, but time slipped by and class was over.  I was working from one of our favourite watercolour books--now I have forgotten even which one it was--so these are not for sale.  The stack of paintings on paper that seems to live on top the fridge just keeps growing !  I wonder why it is so much easier to get results when painting the smaller scale ?  It could just be the miniaturist in me, needing to be released again.
